CompuCyte iCys Research Imaging Cytometer CompuCyte iCys Research Imaging Cytometer — This was purchased by COBRE part of COHR lab and Flow Facility. The iCys Research instrument is a laser scanning cytometer (LSC) built on an inverted microscope body. The instrument can analyze slides or various formats of tissue culture plates/chamber slides. A LCS is a fluorescence analytical method analogous to flow cytometry. In contrast to flow cytometry, the position of each fluorescent event is recorded, and electronic bit-map images of the scan are created. These images of tissue sections reveal the architectural context in which the fluorescent event has occurred.
