Olympus Digital Slide ScannerThe BX61 research microscope is complete with 1.25, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 60x (dry) objectives. Outfitted with motorized stage (Prior scientific), fluorescence imaging capabilities, and a DP71 camera. This instrument also utilizes Visopharm’s VIS Integrator system, and  is able to generate virtual slides at 1.25x magnification, and can then select tissue regions for further analysis using the additional software modules. Applications of this software include objective, quantitative and unbiased measurements of immunostaining (immunohistochemistry / immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence) as well as other readouts of interest such as: area or linear measurements, cellular localization (nuclear/cytoplasmic), cell counting / cell density. This powerful software can also be used to design customized applications and readouts based on the specific research interest.”
